XOLO heats up tablet race, launches Xolo Tab with 3G video calling for Rs 13,499 (USD 225)

The 8-inch tablet with a resolution of 1024x768 display is powered by Snapdragon 1.2 GHz quad-core Processor. It runs on runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and comes with Adreno 203 GPU and is capable of playing HD videos at 720p @30fps.

The USP of the tablet is 3G video and voice calling for connectivity with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and A-GPS options. It comes with 1GB RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal memory of which 2.5GB. Its external memory can be expanded using a microSD card up to 32 GB to store lots of songs, movies and games.

It sports a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front camera which supports 3G video calls. It has 4000 mAh battery.

Earlier, Xolo launched its new flagship smartphone XOLO Q1000S in August for Rs 18,999 and NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered 4.7 incher Play T1000 at Rs 15,999. Both received good reviews.

The phone was previously listed on ecommerce website Flipkart for Rs. 46,495. Interestingly, it's still available at a much lower price of 46,257 on the website. The launch was first reported by FoneArena.

The HTC One Dual SIM+ supports both CDMA and GSM/ 3G networks, and according to the company, it's the first Android smartphone that supports UMTS/ HSPA/ 3G connectivity as well as high speed data on CDMA via EVDO. The first SIM slot supports both 3G/ HSPA networks and CDMA/ EVDO networks while the second SIM slot supports 2G connectivity on GSM networks.

The rest of the specifications are similar to that of the HTC One except that the HTC One Dual SIM+ comes with expandable storage supporting microSD cards of up to 64GB, and comes with a removable back cover. The phone would be available in Glacial Silver and Stealth Black colour variants.

Every other day now we are seeing Sony’s Xperia Z1 (Honami) leak online as we inch closer to its unveiling at a pre-IFA press conference on September 4. N...ow a press photo of the Xperia Z1 has leaked online on GSMInsider that show the device in three colors— black, white and purple. The device in the photo looks strikingly familiar to the Xperia Z, with the only visible difference being a metal frame around it. You can see the frame in the leaked photo, but it is currently unclear whether it is merely a frame or also doubles up as the antenna like in the iPhone.
